The benefits of IF mainly come from being in a calorie deficit because it helps people get into one as opposed to having a more flexible eating pattern. It is hyped but it can help people by finding a way of eating that works for them. But in the end, evidence continues to show there's nothing superior about IF compared to eating more flexibly with more nutrient dense meals.
